The Black Teacher Archive aims to archive and digitize state journals of Colored Teachers Associations from 1861 through 1970, in an effort to revolutionize research in the history of education, African American Studies, and critical pedagogy. Future phases of the project will tell stories of how Black intellectual networks grew and adapted under persecution in the Jim Crow South.
